Region C Water Planning Group

Documents and Presentations

What is the Region C Water Planning Group?

Latest information:

We begin this page with our most up-to-date presentation on the needless NEW reservoirs to which the Region C Water Planning Group (RCWPG) gave preliminary approval in an April 25, 2005 vote that gave staff direction to prepare a Draft regional Plan for North Texas. RCWPG will take another vote on May 23, 2005 on any changes and on adoption of a Draft Plan (see also "Next Steps", below). The RCWPG allowed environmental and landowner groups to make this presentation at the public meeting just AFTER the RCWPG voted to give preliminary approval to the destructive, needless reservoirs for their Draft Plan.

  • Here is a PowerPoint slide show presented at the April 25, 2005 Region C Water Planning Group meeting.  The title is Meeting Water Demands with No New Reservoirs.  It was presented by Beth Johnson on behalf of Texas Committee on Natural Resources, Sierra Club, Sulphur River Oversight Society, and others. This is a large PDF (2MB).

  • The coalition has prepared a slide depicting the sources and quantities that Region C Water Planning Group has tentatively selected as "recommended" and "alternative" water strategies that utilize EXISTING water sources.
